This novel is the second in her series, but is quite able to be a stand alone book. Steeped in history, she nevertheless manages very well to bring color to a time of history that is usually shown in grays and browns. Sarah Sundin's Wings of The Nightingale is my favorite series of novels of the World War II era. ![]()
